A rechargeable LED work lamp and car cigarette socket charger.

A good diagnostic tool for the dreaded inevitable electronic faults.

Hose clamps, a box of hardware (nuts bolts screws etc).Fuses and bulbs, As far as tools go it sound like the guys have spoken. Make sure your wheel lugs are not over tightened or frozen in place, makes changing a tire on the road a real pain. Oh a wire coat hanger is a useful thing LOL 1000 uses. A lot of the small stuff you can pick up and harbor freight or a local auto parts store. Best of luck on your trip

Good list...but...

You might want to add a 18mm open-end wrench, incase the SAI head-fitting comes loose. Also, for the motor mounts you'll need a 14mm wrench/socket and a 16mm wrench/socket.

That's one thing that jumped out at me, while working on these things...they use every size under the sun. Most German and American vehicles use the common sizes listed above (10,13,15,17,18,19)...but not Land Rover. Plus, I was assembling the engine yesterday on my 03...and ran into using a 7/32 socket...no metric socket fit. Weird stuff. You just can't seem to put together "a common set"...without needing every size available. Plus, you'll need some Standard stuff for the driveline...both drive shafts use 9/16 fasteners.

Brian.
