Where in the world is Disco Mike?

I don't know... DM was knowledgeable on some LR Discovery things, maybe not so much on other issues. Mostly I felt he just didn't use the right approach when responding, especially an innocent question from a newbie. Afterall one of the main reasons for forums like this is to help others and learn from each other.
I recall quite a few simple requests for help that were answered by DM with a "Why did you buy this car if you aren't interested in studying the manual?" or "Forget about that problem! Have you done the 60K tune up? Replaced your front drive shaft? Come back when you have completed those tasks!!!!"
In a way he reminds me of the professor in the Wizard of OZ who stands behind the curtains bellowing orders and scaring Dorothy and the others and later responds as the hot air balloon suddenly takes off with "This is highly irregular, sorry but I don't know how this thing works!"
Perhaps he is like Scrooge and has seen the error of his ways and is out making merry! Anyway, Merry Christmas Disco Mike where ever you are!

Anyway, the forum is still here and we can still try to help each other out, and that's what counts!
Cheers!

Wow, that PM was ridiculous! The day you stop learning is the day you die. Anybody that thinks they know EVERYTHING is no longer relevant.

Hope all is well! Have valued your help in the past very much.
Yes, I am back. Sorry for falling off the screen for the last couple of months, family issues got the best of me for awhile, but I am alive and kicking. Some may say this good or bad, but I am back and I appreciate the concern.
Looks like Spike and some of the others have taken good care of things while I was out. By the way, I have moved and am back in Denver with a different tele number but the same e-mail address, so if anyone needs me, e-mail me.
Take care,
Mike

Funny, I thought I was the only guy who thought Disco Mike was a pompous a$$. I hope the guy is okay, but honestly there are other people on this forum who are every bit as knowledgeable, and who don't feel the need to brow-beat you before descending from their throne of superiority to help you. The internet is full of Disco Mikes. They're on the Mustang and Triumph forums where I hang out as well as the boating forums. Legends in their own minds...

Maybe Disco Mike is Santa Claus.
He is gone as he is making toys.
He is very busy and I think he will pull an all nighter tonight.
Problem is - the lead Disco has a red light on it's nose.
Upon closer inspection - the red light is a tow truck.
The lead Disco is down.
How will Disco Mike deliver all of the rover parts tonight?
Only Disco Mike knows..
