Default Excessive Heat

Hello, I have had my MY25 for about 1000 miles now and yesterday was the 1st tie having it out in extreme cold. It was about 10 degrees outside. We had the heat on in the car of course and in the front and rear. My wife and I noticed the center console area was getting very hot. Like where the front cup holders are below the screen were so hot that we were afraid of it melting our sunglasses and other small things we throw in there. Also noticed this heat carried into the center storage area. Is this normal? Anyone else experience this? I mind you that the kids did have their rear heat on too so not sure if that has anything to do with it? Also the space that is in-between the bottom part of the center screen and dash, you could feel a lot of heat. Even upon closing the little door that covers the front cup holders, phone charging stating was hot upon touch.

Any info?

I am glad it is putting out warm air in 10 degree weather. It is normal for the center console to get hot especially since you also had the rear heater going as well. When you say very hot, is it dangerously hot? If it is, this is not normal. It also depends on what temp setting you have in the car as well as the position of the vents. Normally, the heat will come from the bottom, and then from the vents. Have you tried lowering the temp and let the auto setting take over? If it appears that something is not right, I would take it to the dealer to have it checked.

Thanks for the info, it's not dangerously hot, just pretty darn warm to the touch. I will check the vents.
