Default Bad heater core temp sensor?

What symptoms are generally associated with a bad heater core temp sensor? Pretty sure mine is bad, and doesn’t seem like I’m getting full heat in this cold weather. Pretty much every component of the cooling system is new and I bled the cooling system several times. Last owner says the heater core was recently recently replaced.
