Hi, problem with Ignition switch 2001 P38 Need to replace it. put in key, Turn, Starter spins, turn off key and remover Starter is still spinning, disconnect Battery to stop.
1. is there a Replacement barrel or must I get the whole thing, Rover parts as it. ANy suggestions?

 

That's really weird....

 

On mine I disconnected the battery, sprayed generous amounts of electrical cleaner in and worked the key around, than after letting it sit to dry a while, I used a TINY amount of dry graphite lube. Key works great now. Worth a shot before replacing in my opinion.
