Default P38 windows fail

We never roll down the windows in my 1998 RR 4.0 We only roll down the passenger rear so the dog can stick his head out the window.

Yesterday, we went to town and I hit the rear window switch for the dog nothing happens. All the window switches failed.

Where do I start?

Thanks

Make sure you didn't ht the lock button by the window switches.

I’ve heard of the central switching panel going, easy to pull one from a junk yard and switch it. Maybe check the fuses first if you haven’t yet

Are the fuses or relays for the windows? If yes which ones. I checked the fuses under the seat and they all show good.

I found a used Windows Switch Pack online and replaced the old one and everything works again. It had a 30 day money back promise.

I left the sunroof open overnight on my first P38 and a random thunderstorm hit and soaked the interior. All windows switches were dead the next morning. I found a used switch panel, took about 10-mins to replace it and all worked great after that.

The window switchpacks can be rehabilitated.
