Default 2006 HSE Supercharged sitting for 5 years

All,

I have come across a 2006 HSE Supercharged vehicle with Nav and entertainment system that has been sitting for about 5 years. it is being auctioned off...starting at $4,000..

Interior is fantastic...no issues..

Engine, well...I'm not sure...the original keys have been lost so before I bid on it I would like to get a replacement set of keys, or try to at least power up the electronics without the keys...anyone know a way to do that?

If I can acquire another set of keys, my game plan would be to :

1. Make sure all the electronics work...if so I'll bid on it, I'm most concerned about the air suspension operating...can that be done with out starting the engine?

2. Assuming I win the bid, I would have it flat bedded back to my house where I would drain the fuel and put some kerosene done each cylinder and let it sit for a few days

3. new battery and start..

Questions...is this beast even worth $4K ? What other major issues should I look for ?

Thanks in advance!

For that price and without being able to start it up or test electrical systems you are asking for trouble.

That's what I'm thinking...maybe $1K or $2K it might be worth it..

At that price the worst you can expect is to part it out to recover some of the initial cost. Run away, you will have another several $K in it even if it is decent. There is a reason it sat for 5 years.
