Default Drivers blend door install (no heat)

I’ve been struggling with no drivers side heat with my Range Rover Sport. I flushed the heater core (which was filthy), which greatly improved the passengers side heat - but didn’t do anything for the drivers side. I trimmed a small piece of plastic to expose the lower drivers side blend door motor and door - with the car on I can manually flip the blend door to get full heat. The blend door motor seems to be working too after cleaning the connector, but for the life of me I can’t seem to line up the blend door motor with the door. Does anyone have any tips or tricks?

Did you get anywhere with this? Am having same problem.

Also do you have any photos of the motor - I would like to try move the flap.

unfortunately not, I’m in Texas so I have a very short window of when I need heat. Was going to try tackling it again in the Fall.
