Hi there,

I recently purchased a 2008 Range Rover Sport and noticed the "Bonnet Open" alert. I then bought a new assembly to replace the old but the point where the Hood opening cable attaches was not as wide as the one removed. I did not try to close the bonnet because I did not want to get it stuck. I think I may need to replace the wire or somehow shorten the end. Please look at the image below and let me know what you think.
