Range Rover 2016 Infotainment System Issues - Black Screen, Unresponsive buttons
Hi everyone,
I’m having some issues with my 2016 Land Rover Range Rover Sport HST and was hoping for some advice or insights from the community. Here’s what’s happening:
A few days ago, the infotainment screen stopped working entirely. Normally, when I turn on the car, the screen would light up with the Land Rover logo, but now it stays completely black. Occasionally, it turns on for a few seconds but then goes black again.
The buttons on either side of the infotainment system don’t seem to function, though the button lights do turn on when pressed.
The steering wheel buttons (mode, volume, phone) are also unresponsive.
When I shift the car into Reverse, the rear-view camera does not turn on and a “Reverse Traffic Detection” message in the odometer area UI shows up
Some details about the car:
It’s a 2016 Range Rover Sport HST.
No accidents or exterior damage.
No flooding or other issues that could have impacted the electronics.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue or have any advice on what might be causing this? I’d appreciate any troubleshooting tips or guidance before I consider taking it into the dealership.
