Hey all. Thanks to Alex for such a great write up. I did one a few years ago using these instructions but damage was already done. I've since replaced with a used motor with 127k and new head gaskets. About 1k mile driven on replacement. I just have 2 questions. Your housing and pump looked great. Did you have any issues that caused you to change oil pump? Or just routine maintenance? And what is the arrow for on the original pump? Reason is, my oil light just came while pulling into garage. I had no tapping/ticking or knocking sounds. I hooked up pressure tester and gauge didn't moved after about 3-5 seconds of run time. I removed pump and housing and pump looked great. No scratches/gouges. I ordered a new pump but it doesn't have the arrow that original had. Is there a certain front and back to inner and out gears? Thanks.

I just bought a 2016 Autobiography with the 5L SC engine. I bought the 90mm 15 flute oil filter wrench and it's too big by a wide margin. I had to use a band type wrench, the kind you use with a rachet. Housing was sure tight.
