RRS 2017 SDV6 L494 - USB sockets in centre console
Hi,
Quick one.
I am trying to use my USB ports in the centre console. Two of them. Next to the HDMI input.
Neither of them appear to work i.e. will not charge and android auto does not recognise them when my phone is plugged in (even to say incompatible!).
Those sockets are also supposed to charge a device but do not. I can charge through the cigarette lighter in the front console, so not a problem.
All other electrics in my car are fine (well, nothing being reported...)
Looking at the LR user manual, my guess is that it is one of fuses in the "loadspace fuse box" and my options are:
#50 - entertainment system - no fuse present
#51 - entertainment system - fuse changed (no problems with the entertainment system except appalling touch screen latency!)
#52 - portable media - fuse changed; and
#53 - portable media - no fuse present
Assuming that IS the fuse box (OS inside rear wheel arch), I checked fuses 51 & 52 and they were fine, but changed them anyway. There were no fuses in 50 & 53, so I put fuses in (rightly or worngly). Alas, all for no effect.
Any thoughts anyone?
Thanks

Are you able to pull fault codes? If the vehicle has detected a draw from the audio unit sometimes they will shut it off to prevent running the battery flat and leave a fault code behind.
The power for the cigar lighter comes from the CJB, and the work shop manual is a nightmare and the fuse you are looking for could be in the CJB. But it seems to me the IAM should be providing the 5v power to the USB ports (at least the ones associated with the NAV/Media interface)
