1988-89 RRC Coolant Expansion Tank Genuine
I saw someone looking for one of these on another board.
I have one used one left and thought I'd offer it up over here. This is an original brass tank and it doesn't leak. I can't speak to how well the coolant level sensor works but the contacts are clean. I'd recommend a new cap but beyond that, it's ready to go.
The Land Rover part number for this item is NTC6701. I have also seen it identified in an older AB catalog dedicated to RRC parts as SFR55. It will work on 1988 and 1989 RRC's. The 1987 model used a slightly different version of this tank while from 1990 on all the RRC's came with plastic tanks.
I have seen new aftermarket versions listed for around $300!!! I don't know how many get sold at that price but, given the rarity of a part like this, I'll ask $100. If I'm off the mark, I'm sure someone here will let me know.
