Default 2003 Discovery 2, 162k miles, $1250

I am selling my 2003 D2 with ~162k miles. I bought another one a few months ago and have been too busy to sell this one. This is located in central NJ, about a mile off of 295, near Princeton.

I bought it about four years ago, about 20k miles ago. The Seller had the dealer replace the head gaskets and additional items for $8k before I bought it.
I have kept up all the maintenance, brakes pads rotors, water pump, cooling system, etc. Lots of receipts, included the head gasket.

Headliner was replaced, sunroof drains shored up. The interior is in very good shape, no rips in the leather.

Frequent Rotella oil changes. 93 octane.

Lucky 8 drive shaft.

ABS fixed, no three amigos. No engine codes.

The engine ticks some times, it has since i bought it. I had a couple LR specialist look at it and they did not find a problem. It does not lose coolant, does not run hot, etc.

Also, I hit a pothole and there is a noise from the front end. Tied to engine speed when engaged in drive there is a noise. There is no noise in neutral. I have not had time to look at it more closely. The engine pulls very well, other than noise.

Selling with the silver Hurricane wheels, not the black ones in some pictures.

I am asking $1,250, which I think is fair, would part out for more. But open to offers.

Went to look at the truck and unfortunately it’s too nice to part out. The interior is perfect, the headliner has been redone and looks fantastic, and the exterior is presentable. It appears to have been well maintained throughout its life and drives great. The current owner has definitely cared for it. Not sure what to make of the noise, I don’t know enough about these trucks to say with any degree of accuracy but it didn’t affect the way the truck drove. The frame is starting to show some early stages of rot but I believe it can still be arrested before any real damage occurs. I was hoping to find something a little rougher which would make sense to part but this truck isn’t ready for that stage yet, and won’t be for a while. This seems like a great truck for the price.

Pics of the rear frame rails? Always worried with NJ trucks...
