Recently shipped from WA, having spent most of its life in CA and WA, and completely rust free. Should be viewed by someone looking to get involved and/or Land Rover aficionados; may be good candidate for an engine swap.
173k miles. In exceptionally good shape in terms of frame, body, interior. The previous owner was a mechanic who did the head gasket replacement and upgrades: 3" lift kit, safari rack, Landy bumper guard, light bar and front and back roof lights, goodyear wranglers, all new hosing, breaks, break lines, o2 sensors, etc. This work and tires have <10k miles. Locking center differential (actuation lever installed for locking center transfer case in 99's). Can crawl out of anything. Rear jumper seats installed, making it a 7-seater.
Neat features of this year's Discovery include full-time 4wd, almost unmatched visibility with two moon roofs and alpine windows, elevated rear seats ("stadium seating"), electric heating front windshield to melt away ice when you start it up, hydraulic rear step to climb up the rear ladder, stand-on rack, audio controls in steering wheel, etc. Has cassette player with Harmon Kardon audio and 6 disc cd player under passenger seat. The classic tan leather, suede arm rests, and wood trim are in beautiful shape for the age. Service Engine Soon light is on. Cylinder misfire code. It starts and runs well. In very low temperatures it is running rough. Typical "three amigos" are there, but ABS and traction control work great. Front moonroof leaks if left out in rain/wind from just the right angle. With engine swap could be sold as a premium, near antique.
