Power seat motors
Im curious how much I may have to pay for a couple used parts for my 2004 Discovery 2. Will be interesting in making a purchase in the next week or 2 depending on how reasonable the price is.
- Both front driver/passenger power seat motors. Passenger **** the bed long ago, other day the drivers side finally went so I need both to get my seats moving again.
- 2 black horn buttons. No wires or clips needed, just the plastic buttons.
- Oil filter access cover. Its the round plastic cover that conceals the oil filter housing from underneath the truck. Mine is missing.
Thanks in advance.

Bump: Im also looking for a grey passenger side front bumper end cap cover compatible with the 2003/2004 style. The end caps have a colored piece that fits over the actually bumper and mine has a crack in it so lets add this to my wanted list.
I have a 2001 i'm parting out right now. I have the seat motors in the car still, and the horn buttons, but no oil filter access cover.
Are you sure it's the seat motors and not the switches that crapped out?
Im pulling the rest of the parts off it today. I will get back to you on a price. Would I be shipping to Alaska or New Hamp? Also can you give your zip so my wife/shipping mgr can quote?
Thanks.

Ok, I only have the motors for the driver seat. The passenger was wedged in due to the accident. I also have the horn buttons. I'll get you a quote.
But, you might want to check the relays and fuses under the seats. My mechanic says the seat motors rarely fail.

Ill try to figure out if the relays or fuses are bad. But in the event I need the switches or the motors, is there any way you can get both somehow? Because it would be a hassle for me to buy the parts I need from multiple sellers when Im hoping to buy everything from one person. Ill keep you posted. Thanks
Pull the fuses and see if the connection is broken. I think there is 5 per seat, 40 amp being the highest.
For the relays, you will probably need to consult the RAVE. Use a test light and make sure that power is coming out of the relay. Or pull a known good relay of same function on your truck and plug it in.
Like I said, I'm 99% positive it is not the motors. Do you have any friends with a D2? Try to substitute their seat switches. The switches go bad often on D1s but not sure about D2, maybe some other D2 owners with more experience will chime in.
