I have a Disco II 4.6 I need to test for leaks in the block.

If anyone has a block leak test kit, or one they have DIY'ed i can buy/borrow, please let me know.

I need to see if the block I have is worth rebuilding, as it has a slipped sleeve, or if I absolutely have to get another block.

I think you can buy one at the NAPA store for around $38 and it comes with a large bottle of tester fluid.

 

I thought he was talking about a pressure tester, not the exhaust fume sniffer one.

 

I made one from Lowes. Worked great.
