I have a particular fondness for that movie I think because for years I drove my '62 on the farm much in the same shape, though it would start and idle fine. But no brakes, no second gear and one winter no shift leaver for a while so I had to stick a screw driver down in to the floor board to shift and could only get reverse and 4th.
It was great fun, having to back up some hills. LOL

What's funny, I remember seeing a Range Rover at the local dealer around '77 or '78 and saying to my dad who was with me, "Wow, I can't imagine ever taking something that nice off-road." Now they seem so primitive.
But yeah, a nice mid-late 70's 2 door manual gearbox Range Rover would be pretty cool. Especially if it were a diesel.
