1966 Series 2a IIA Hatch Key
Hi all,
Got a 1966 Land Rover Series 2A. Never had a key for the t-handle hatch lock - it was long lost when I got her. I'm trying to get a replacement key, but the trouble I'm running into is, no one in my area seems to know anything about the old Land Rovers, only the modern ones. I've talked to a couple locksmiths and even they seem stumped. I've been told if I can find out what the key blank is, like the actual blank type, like my house uses Kwikset KW1 blanks, that they could make me a key, but their sources for keys don't have anything for the old models, so it's something they would need to go hunting for. Wondered if anyone might have any details? Or if anyone has a 1966 Series 2A, and has the hatch key, even a good photograph of what the key looks like might help them track it down.
