My owners manual showed up today, now I know what the controls on the dash mean!!

EXT means outside temp, always wondered what that button did.

I have a bunch of other OEM goodies showing up this weekend, can't wait to stick them all on!!

Repaired cylinder 1-plug wire instead of replacing all wires. Greased up wire using WD40, slid boot back, cut wire enough to expose middle wire, recrimped and set boot back. Misfire gone, P0301 code and SES gone...For now 😏

I scored a 2002 P38 150Amp Alternator today from a junk yard for 25.00 with no core charge. Slapped it into my 99 D2 and although my stock alternator was working fine I wanted the extra 20amp for when I add more lights, and eventually a winch.

As soon as I get my Tax Refund I'm either going to try and locate a cheap 04 D2, or buy myself some new 255/70R18 BFG KO2's or Goodyear Duratrac's, a replacement front/rear metal bumper, and a winch.

Paracord wrapped steering wheel is starting to get a lot of attention. Pretty much all my friends love it, and the surplus store I bought the paracord at was like oh wow never heard of that before, but they had to come outside and check it out.

I didn't know that the p38 got a higher amp alternator. Interesting. Was that on all p38s?

Just ordered a steel rear bumper for the disco2! Due to the passenger rear bumper end being broken off I am going to do the rear first.

Welded the window regulator/guide tabs back on the windows lower rail, spot welds had rusted off. Now, the window goes up and down by the switch. Makes smoking a cigar much, much easier...especially, since the ash tray is a joke on these vehicles.

Also , added a heater resistor to the SAI motor connection. I'd removed the SAI system, motor and exhaust tubing, and ended up with a code. So, hooked up the resistor to fool the computer, to simulate a similar amount of resistance as the SAI electric motor, running. So far, so good. Day four without any CEL.

JINX...knew l shouldn't have said anything about the resistor...Check Engine Light reared its ugly head on the way home...so heater resistor attempt for SAI didn't do the trick.

Brian.
