I'll look for a second, or if lucky doesn't take it you are next.

Full disclosure, we are debating whether an 03' unit is CDL aware. Other members say yes, Im confused as to why it would be since the 03' did not have it,

Main issue between 03 and 04 SLABS unit is if you shut down the truck in diff lock with an 03 SLABS you get the 3 amigos on the next startup. I added CDL to my '03 and other than that it worked fine. The '04 unit is more desirable, park the truck in diff lock and you can restart it with no 3 amigos, plus "supposedly" had better programming as far as ABS/TC. But either year unit will work.

The info sources I've seen (e.g. Upgrading the SLABS ECU in pre-Facelift D2's | DiscoTD5.com) also confirm that the SRD000150 (2003) and SRD500070 (2004) units will work with CDL.
However, the unit that is pictured here is SRD000070, NOT SRD500070. So it looks like this one isn't going to work for me, sorry.

Functionally, I assume that any units other than those ones don't address the CDL/TC issue. Which for me would be the only reason to change mine.

Default Plot thickens

so I have 2 ECUs from 03' vehicles.

The first I posted a pic of has an earlier 02' production date, 22 week with part # SRD 000070.

The second one I have has a later 02' production date, 46th week with part # SRD 000150.

looks like some later production 03's have the CDL aware SLABS and earlier do not.
