Default Spacers gone, new HD front springs.

Did rears at the weekend, got fronts done this afternoon. So much more travel and better ride too.

Working on a solar panel that will mount underneath the roof rack and slide out the back, doubling as an awning. Today I got the panels framed up. Friday the rest of the parts will arrive.

Hahaha that made me laugh. Yeah I'm accessory obsessed now that all the maintenance and repairs are out of the way.
I got the bush cables from Kurt @ bushcables.com. Pathfinder set. I keep them a little loose so I can still open the hood without adjusting them

Default Steering Stabilizer Replaced Today

Hit a bump on the NJ Turnpike last weekend and swayed like crazy almost hit car next to me. Replaced OME steering stabilizer today and all back to normal.

It's a Britpart (aka Sh!tpart), model #5645. Available at Atlantic British and elsewhere:

Britpart DA5645

I liked it because it's got the holes for the recovery swivels, high lift jack ports similar to Defenders, and it bolts to the existing frame horns using the OEM bolts and isn't as convoluted at the Terrafirma version.

It also has holes for headlight washers too (which I plugged with plastic caps).

Technially it was yesterday and not today but I built a sleeping platform/storage area for the back of my D2. I'm not sure if I'm going to build drawers or just keep the area open. I built a drawer for my Land Cruiser which was nice because it locked but limited how tall of an item I could fit in the drawer. Currently there is about 14" of height from the floor to the bottom of the platform. If anyone is interested PM me and I can give you the measurements I used. Eventually I'd like to get an RTT but this will work for now, plus the plywood was only $26 and only took 2 hours to build with just a skill saw.
