Progress on my onboard air install. Slow going as I'm currently working on my 4th or 5th order from McMaster for fittings. It's hard to know what you need until you get your hands dirty. If I did it again, I would have gotten the individual components separately as nearly half of the stuff in the kit won't be used.
Here's a 1/2" tube to tube bulkhead fitting to route the air output from the tank to under the cab.

We pulled the alternator on our '04 DII se7 because Auto Zone advised our voltage regulator was shot. Dead battery was our tell-tale. I can't find a VR for this animal. The one we pulled off the bacof the alternator reads:
BOSCH
1 197 311 549
EL 14V
Made in India
883
I found a post with this part number listed followed by VRG46472 45.60
Any help here in Northern Virginia would be greatly appreciated...
Cheers,
G
You could just put in a used alternator. I got one from Paul Grant to go back from an aftermarket 150v that I had that broke. The used one works great.

I picked up a 200 amp alternator off of eBay. Rebuilt with new diodes, etc. Have not installed or tried it out yet though.
