Curious to see how good this Crower cam really is.

It's fantastic! You will love it. It's not *only* that you get more power, but also that the motor revs up so much faster.

And man, it is smooth as it revs.

Better exhaust sound, too.

My daughter is about to take it on its 3rd 1,000+ mile road trip tomorrow. She's already put 5,000+ miles on my rebuild.

Prior to the rebuild she was driving one sluggish truck. But now, it zips around!

My God, if Land Rover had used the Crower cam back in 1999, they could have sold these trucks for $25k more each.

It just dials up the truck. Absolutely no downside to this cam. Rover left free power on the table. Shame on them!

Good for Crower, though.

That's good to hear, and I never thought about there being a difference in sound.
I thought the stock engine was very good, all things considered, and I did notice it revved slow, so a noticeable change is great.
I took a picture of the stock and Crower side by side.
You know you should notice a difference when you can actually see a difference in the cam lobes.

I got the Terrafirma TF255 kit at a Land Rover mechanics shop. He is retiring and sold everything in his shop. Parts, tools, all the works. Got lucky and found the draglink and track rod still sealed in a box for a good price at Mark Peacock Land Rover in Eye, England.

My daughter finished her 3rd road trip, no problems. She needed a new ignition key and Ace Hardware actually had the right RV4 ilco key blank for $4. They cut it for free and it works on her door and ignition now.

easy peasy

I finally picked up Myrtle today from the Southampton port and drove her back to Newmarket, Suffolk.
I got a lot of head turning from people seeing me driving a LHD Disco in England.
