2005 LR3 and 2006 RRS. The LR3 is cracked all over. Looks awful. They open up when it is cooler. The RRS has cracks all around the air bag. It looks bad too. Subpar materials used. Should have been a recall. We had some cracks on the dashes on our 2003 through 2007 Toyota 4Runners after a few years of pushing Toyota finally did a nationwide recall. No charge to customers. Land Rover are you listening. Phil

Me too, the dashboard on my 2008 LR3 has started cracking, which seems to be a common problem. I’m looking to see what others have done to solve the problem. (please post pics) What are our options?

Replacement
Carpet dash cover
Coverlay plastic cover
Can we swap an LR4 dash
Dashboard repair shop

Thanks in advance.

Well the 2006 has cracks starting so it was sooner rather than later.

Same, 2007 with 92K. Cracks along all the seams for the passenger airbag. It was starting to crack when I got it last year, and finished itself off with the cold this winter. Doesn't seem like it will crack any further. Not sure if the sun or cold did more damage, but I did keep a sunshade on it as much as possible this summer. For reference; the car started it's life in Massachusetts, moved to South Carolina where I bought it, and now it's with me in NY/NJ.

Our LR3 dash is just awful. My wife is not happy. I need to either get it replaced or find a cover that is acceptable to her. Has anyone used a coverlay cover? How did it turn out? Thanks. Phil

Abran, what is your assessment? The photos make the coverlay dash cover look pretty nice, much better than the craggy mess that mine is right now. Did you install it? How was the install? Fit and finish? thanks Phil

Our 05 was cracked when we bought it and only got worse, got a dash mat that looks good but does not fit over cluster correctly
