My 300tdi build
the pics aren't very good but hopefully you'll still enjoy!
This is what she looked like when i first got her.
The donor vehicle from Germany
Getting some stuff out of the way
Itty bitty Turbo
Lifting the 300tdi free from whats left of the truck
300tdi engine mounts
It was a bit rusty but most of it cleaned up pretty good
V8 outa here
Then some asshat from around the corner drove his little bike into my truck,
While i was under it! Inches from my head!!!
300 Tdi In!
Don't forget this little plastic piece when putting the slave cylinder in! I Did! stressed about it for a bit, but all seems okay still
Interior Kinda fitting together
New Wheel adapters and range rover wheels!
Mud Pod lit up
Mud Pod and RC Chopper
Did a little bit of off roading Last weekend
More to come!
Defender brakes, new suspension all around, full interior redone.

Sealing the center Console area.
With a proper manual center console and new boots from Blacklisted Engineering!
Also replaced cig lighter with dual usb outlet.
soooo much wiring
trying to keep things looking neat
RTE Adjustable pan hard bar got rid of my freeway wobbles
Trying to get rid of the rear a/c and one of the rear seats for more space
Getting closer to be finished
Nice 9" head unit!
Rear view camera. more interior work and lots of lights coming soon! also need more suspension stuff.

Most people don't title it as a diesel. They either don't live in an emissions testing area or they get a 94/95 which doesn't get emissions tested(in most places).

Yay, I have a '95 5-speed which sounds like the one to have if you're going to do this.

RTE drilled my swivels! hopefully going to get RTE radius arms to go with them. I didn't import it. I assume the guy just imported it as parts since it was only half a truck. he was based in california and specialized in volkswagan diesels but brought this one over with some others. I think I paid 4700 delivered with a/c. then probably another 2k in new parts for it. I wish i would have spent more on it while it was out and easy to work on haha. I found it on eBay which was a little nerve wracking for months while I did the conversion. Lets just say the state still thinks its gasoline powered for smog.

Looking over everything before starting! Main Items being allisport extended radiator with shroud and electric fan, large front mount intercooler(the wrong one pictured!), and overflow tank. Turners Performance head and gasket. genuine water pump and what i believe is a genuine timing kit.
