I'm interested in hearing about the import process for the donor vehicle. And also, how do you plan to go about titling it has a diesel?

I'd be interested to hear about the importance process as well. How'd you source it and what was the cost?

Most people don't title it as a diesel. They either don't live in an emissions testing area or they get a 94/95 which doesn't get emissions tested(in most places).

Yay, I have a '95 5-speed which sounds like the one to have if you're going to do this.

RTE drilled my swivels! hopefully going to get RTE radius arms to go with them. I didn't import it. I assume the guy just imported it as parts since it was only half a truck. he was based in california and specialized in volkswagan diesels but brought this one over with some others. I think I paid 4700 delivered with a/c. then probably another 2k in new parts for it. I wish i would have spent more on it while it was out and easy to work on haha. I found it on eBay which was a little nerve wracking for months while I did the conversion. Lets just say the state still thinks its gasoline powered for smog.

Looking over everything before starting! Main Items being allisport extended radiator with shroud and electric fan, large front mount intercooler(the wrong one pictured!), and overflow tank. Turners Performance head and gasket. genuine water pump and what i believe is a genuine timing kit.
