07 l322 4.2L with P0128 Codes and weird revs
Hey guys,
I normally post in the discovery2 section but tonight I am helping out a friend who just got a new to himself a new to him 07 l322 supercharged.
Truck drives great but has a P0128 code that comes up. My code reader refers to this code as Coolant Thermostat (coolant temperature below thermostat regulating temperature). Cleared the codes tonight, went for a quick spin and the codes didn't come back. This said the coolant temp reads out between 165 and 178 deg F and the temperature fluctuates quickly depending on being at a red light or driving a long between those two extremities. To me this sounds like possibly the thermostat or fan-clutch or sensor could be the issue. Whats the normal operating temp of these Rovers?
Any help would be appreciated...
Also another weird thing we noticed tonight... When idling and you rev the engine up a little or give it a tap of gas the engine starts to go up and down in rpm's from 500-1200rpm back and forth for a good 10-20 seconds before stabilizing. Any ideas?
