I was just informed by a dealer that the 11.4” touchscreen cannot be ordered on 4 cylinder Defenders due to a shortage of screens.

I was just told it was not available for order at all even though it shows online.

It literally looks like an iPad propped up on the dash.

A gas auto station wash on your brand new $80,000 truck?!

Unlike an ipad it actually bows outward slightly which is quite nice when you're in the drivers seat, enhances accessibility a bit. Much better setup than my 2018 Q5 which really looked stuck on the dash as an afterthought and wasn't even touch.

I'm glad I made the decision to go with it on the build, didn't second guess that one too much, I figured the camera system being outstanding it would be all the better for it. $140 US is a no-brainer IMO.

It's true the original smaller display is nestled in there for a nice 'clean' look but I suspect very few who have the larger screen would want to swap it out for the smaller one if given the chance.

it doesn’t use brushes so that’s fine with me.

i’ve been in a defender with the smaller screen and I’m happy I got the 11 inch screen.

I had the 11" screen in my 2021 F Pace and while it was particularly nice when using navigation, I actually prefer the smaller screen in my Defender for the aesthetics. I rarely use navigation, so for me on the day to day functionality I wouldn't really benefit from the larger screen. I think the F Pace integration is much nicer vs. this as a retro fit. But everyone has their own preferences so I'm glad both are an option.
