If I can track a $5 item, why the hell can't I track an $80K item. So stupid.

 

All I can tell you is, I finally got mine and it's worth every minute of the wait. Damn this is a great truck! I've never been happier with a vehicle.

 

I just emailed JLRs Exec Director of Customer Satisfaction... and merely asked why we cannot track our orders. It seems silly to have to keep calling the dealership. You'd think for the price we are all paying, we'd have some sort of white-glove service where we get our own tracking number.

 

They do. You just have to order into the UK or be a diplomat or vip to use it. We unwashed Americans get to contact our dealers.

I would agree with this whole Amazon life now, but I didn’t get a tracker or boat name for my six figure Porsche. Maybe they let the autobiography ranges track their builds.

 

Sorry - but that is complete utter non-sense. They're loaded on ships in Bremerhaven, a port in Germany. They're almost always shipped with Wilhelmsen ships - these ships do make a stop in Southampton to pickup UK assembled JLR products. Sounds like your dealer is as knowledgeable as mine! I guess there is a reason they have that job.

 

iirc they are loaded at zeebrugee, Belgium not Bremerhaven.

 

porsche has an online tracking system for their 911s since 2020, I was able to track both of mine at all points.
