2022 Defender orders taking place now

The irony here is that the Defender (if still at the Port today) is literally 15 mins away from me. The dealership is about an hour away in Va.

I'm a first time Land Rover customer, I know many of you are not. Might be a foolish question, but, the answer is always no if you don't ask; are there any things they throw in for free upon purchase if you ask? IE car cover, etc

Same thing happened to me. Had my hopes high for the Friday/Saturday hand-off as the car has been at the Port of Baltimore since the 24th. Was notified that there was some sort of delay at customs, and my car was not one of those delivered to the dealer this week. She did say that 'the portal' now shows the 10th, but it could be a few days earlier. To someone's point made earlier in the thread, it would be nice to just give us (US buyers) access to the portal, it would save them answering our questions every couple weeks.

Yea I don't expect they give away much for free at JLR dealerships. Hyundai on the other hand, maybe.
The JLR dealer may have given me the license plate holders, not sure, they're of course complete with the name of the dealership on them, but I imagine if I study the paperwork enough times I'll find out that I paid for those besides. When I bought my TDI Sportwagen in 2010 the dealer threw in the all weather floor mat set. I'd be surprised if the JLR dealer will throw anything in but have at it if you want to try. Some things that would be a nice bonus would be, pedal covers, spare tire cover, deep-sided rubber mat set etc... good luck.

My dealership puts a spare cover on the Defenders. It's free advertising for them I guess and might be a work around the issue in the "LR Goodyears dripping goo on the rear bumper thread"
They also snuck in a $25 handover pack in the MSRP. No ide what that was for. The JLR hats and plastic coffee mug they gave me I guess. Only realized later and wasn't about to waste time over $25
I think the car looks better without the dealer's cover so took it off. Same for the trim around license plate. Might get an OEM body colored tire cover one day. Those look sharp.
I was just happy to get it at MSRP given every other Defender on their lot/site had a 10k dealer adjustment.
