It’s available in the Discovery, Jag F-Pace and XF. The Range Rover and Range Rover Sport are due big upgrades in the next couple of years. I suspect they will not see the larger screen until then as they are the oldest in the lineup right now.

and not just the screen, they've yet to upgrade FFRR and RRS to the Privo Pro and EVA 2.0 system. I was actually thinking of getting a FFRR because it's still one of the only ways to get a diesel in the U.S., but just couldn't stick with InControl Touch Pro. ordered a 2022 Disco5 instead.

The metal piece under the bumper - I think they call it the front undershield

Gotcha. Yes its available as a port installed accessory for $1000. I ordered it myself. I think its a good value add. IMO is both functional and a cosmetic improvement.

Default Order progressing (with 11.4" screen)

Asked Salesman today for an update and he sent me a screenshot of tracking. Despite all reports, my order continues to progress, despite the inclusion of the notorious 11.4" screen. Build in 2-ish weeks (fingers crossed).

P.S. I understand what most steps mean, but does anyone know what "build market distribution" means? Maybe the transportation of the vehicle from the factory in Slovakia to the nearest port to put on the ship to various ports of delivery?

My build date is supposedly 4/30! My rep said he'd give me a call 5/1 with an update. It would be great news if production of the MY22 Defenders isn't delayed. I'll post when I have an update (it looks like I may have one of the earliest build dates here...).

When is your expected delivery to dealer? I'm in Little Rock, so there's a chance our vehicles could be on the same ship to whatever port delivers to Texas and Arkansas!?

(My son is a Junior at UT Austin! We're there all the time! Hook 'em!)

So a seemingly weird thing is happening in the system.

My V8 CE is showing a late July estimated delivery date, but it isn't showing any production dates.

My guess is that I should just disregard the July date and it will change when actual production dates get slotted in.

I'm just puzzled as to how JLR can have a delivery date without knowing when they're making the thing.

I would imagine JLR have a pretty good idea what they can commit to build and exactly how long it will take (putting aside complications of global chip shortage for a sec). They probably already have space on the ship already booked for n-number of vehicles--this is done well in advance and they will ensure all of their spaces are filled.

Still, the next update you get will probably be a VIN number--at which point they would be fairly certain they have all the parts to build your car--all eight cylinders! Says me with my glass half full.

I ordered P400 early March. Commit to build April 12; built May 7 and delivery July 2.

I am surprised I have not seen a VIN yet.

You should be able to have your dealer get the vin shortly after the build date.
