I had an order down for a P400e phev.
Manufacture date feb. 05 21 - Check!
Delivery a month later (to Iceland) - Check!
But all of a sudden these dates vanished from JLR´s database in to thin air.
My dealer has no idea. Was flabbergasted.
Some speculate this has something to do with a new generation of RR phev coming out late 21, with bigger batteries.

Do you play any golf iceman? Ive always wanted to play Nicklaus North Golf Course up in Whistler. Once the border opened up I was hoping to take a trip up there in the new defender with the family. Both my defender order, and the border opening, are in a hold it seems.

Looks like the border is open now. You just need to quarantine for two weeks once arriving, regardless of whether you have been vaccinated or not.
Yeah I am still hopeful that my dealer is wrong, the P400e would be worth the upgrade. I'm sure it'll be available eventually, it's just a matter of when.

I don't play golf at all, I'm useless at it, but the WABDR trail sounds like it would be a fun trip. Once the defender arrives, and the border opens back up I'd be down for that, there is a thread on the forum about it somewhere. That said I have a feeling we'll be driving around in our defenders well before the border is back to normal... I doubt it'll be open without quarantine before december. Should give me plenty of time to get the tow hooks and rock rails installed :P

Wow, that sucks! if it was already on a ship on the way to iceland they can't just delete the defender off the ship... you think they diverted it to somewhere else?

No, no - it had not been made.
But their database showed both these dates.
Which my dealer told me was a good indicator.
Then all hell broke loose

word is this morning on UK forums, that there will be no changes for MY22. fingers crossed that's not quite true for us over here and we'll get some more engine options.

Looks like the builders are getting updated. UK site no longer has what year you are selecting (used to be 2020 or 2021). The V8 model or XS model are not available to be selected, but some new options like the larger media screen are present (£140 upcharge).

The USA site shows 22 models page has a keep me informed email option.

For UK towing there is now a tow bar as well as a
electrically deployable tow bar:"The electrically deployable tow bar is stowed discreetly behind the bumper, providing a clean and attractive finish. Approved for up to 3,500kg trailer load (3,000kg for P400e variants)

Towing weight may vary per market. Please contact your nearest Land Rover Retailer for more information."

US price - went from "starting $46,100" to "starting $47,700"

V8 - $100k USD; "

† The Defender V8 models have no dynamic roof loading capacity"
