265/70r18 void the warranty?
The sad thing is that dealership employees make statements like this so often and deter people from enjoying modifying their vehicles. As stated above, this modification has to be proven to have caused consequential damage to a component. Ultimately, the dealership doesn't make the call, JLR does. Unfortunately, these scare tactics are very common, but a lot of people take the dealerships opinion at face value. Just as an example, I broke a cv axle on the trails in TX and I had a dealer replace it. They said it wasn't warranty because of the Mud terrain tires and there was dirt on the vehicle. I asked if the size of the tires mattered, they said no.....lol. I have 35 inch tires. Needless to say, I was having fun in my defender and using it the way I want to use it. They had the part and were willing to fix it on the spot, so I gladly paid them to fix it so I could get back on the trails! I have never had my vehicle to a dealership since new and I'm pretty sure they could have submitted the claim and covered it with no issue, but I wasn't going to fight that battle. Have fun with your vehicle. Just my 2c
