Fellow CO resident here with a lot of miles on my 110 (P400). I agree with tow advice from other commenters above, and do agree with the Air Suspension comments for the highway leading to the trailhead. Your build is good and you should absolutely plan on 18" wheels for the sheer selection of rubber. I've done Imogene and the Alpine Loop on my 20s and its been outstanding. I suspect you will start favoring it over the Jeep!

 

At the time, it was cheaper. Not by much as GavinC pointed out, but I really only wanted a hitch for bike racks, etc...I don't have anything to tow so I figured the very few times it might come up, I'd be fine without the tow assist.
