I believe few if any persons in the U.S. are offended by your question -- not to worry.

As an aside, I have many, many friends and colleagues from other countries and most at some point become sincerely very surprised and confused by individual American citizen's intimate and passionate views toward firearms -- in whichever directions such views are held. (It does not really make sense to them.)

They soon come to understand that firearms in the U.S. are a very personal topic. The most effective perspective I have been able to effectively share on the topic is that firearms in the U.S. are (amongst other things) an expression of one's individuality -- and this has long been the case. Individuality in the U.S. is an important topic.

Viewing the topic with this lens seems to make the topic more accessible to those not born and raised here. It also helps non-Americans (and Americans) understand the basis of the conflict amongst U.S. individuals on the topic -- and allows positive personal relationships to develop over time, mostly regardless of any personal perspective on the topic.

I see it's been a while since anyone posted, but I just wanted to ask if anyone has found a good low-profile spot in the Defender 110 for a magnetic mount that doesn’t rattle. I've tried a few options, but road vibrations always seem to shake things loose. Curious if anyone tried tucking something behind the rear panels or under any of the floor trim.

 

I mounted a small locked box under the rear seat using existing bolts—super easy and it stays out of sight unless you know it’s there. Works great for quick access too.

 

I ended up going with a Home Safe for securing mine. This setup fits nicely in my Defender without getting in the way, and I like that it's quick to access but still keeps everything secure when I’m not around. I was worried about rattling at first, but it's been solid even on rough trails. It also gives me some peace of mind when parking overnight.

 

Not sure if this is what you're looking for but Powerful UK offers a Genuine Land Rover under boot floor gun safe w/ custom made brackets for the New Defender (L663):

Ł492 or about $668 USD (give or take depending on the current exchange rate) + Shipping (it quotes me me ~Ł86 or ~$117 USD to the west coast of the USA).

You have to pull the styrofoam from under the rear boot and do some DIY, but it doesn't take up any of your rear storage (albeit it's a bit slower to access) and it's a completely LR solution and priced as such .

Not quite as convenient/accessible as something fitted into the center console storage or in the center console, but it would easily fit that Q Honey Badger or something close to a full sized rifle or shotgun (ie. a classy British over under which is what I'm guessing the lock box was designed for originally). I'd definite confirm that it's dimensions would fit a rifle that has a detachable magazine inserted and optic mounted if that's your setup as the dimensions may not have that in mind.
