Safelite did mine. No calibration needed. They just gave me a letter telling me to contact my JLR dealership for calibration. Dealer said all was good so long as no errors appeared. None did.
Seems like there is some contradicting advice being given to them/their techs from JLR. I don't know.
Whole process was pretty smooth once they got the glass in store. Sounds like the polar opposite of Triol's experience.
Fendy 2021 110 D300 - also 3x darn stone-strikes (heard them) in as many months. Thankfully not when 4WD in remote areas.
Normal day (not to hot, nor cool). Curiously similar trajectory tho.
I had the exact, and I mean exact same thing happen today. The crack looks like a mustache, same spot as yours. I am going by the dealer tomorrow as the car is 3 months old, no chips and it just popped.
My 2022 LR Defender that is 5 months old and with 5,765 miles on it had the windshield make a loud popping noise and split from the center down in what looks like a mustache. I was driving it through the car wash when it happened. No chip, nothing. This is ridiculous.

Please report to NHSTA or this will never be solved.
Not sure if we should cry ... or ... Congratulate ourselves, for purchasing this Defender 110 D300.
Yesterday set-out for the holiday cottage.
Avoided the Albany Highway, West Australia ( where 4 weeks earlier - had two 'stone-chip strikes, which grew into 2x loooonnggg cracks. And a w/screen replacement). Took an alternative bitumened route. (4.5 hr journey became 6 hrs). AGAIN got 'stone-chipped' (size of a AUD$dollar coin). Looked very fragmented but Gaffer-tape held it till injected the next day.
Windscreen repairer said: " 95% of his business is cause of roadworks being done on the Albany Highway. Is hoping they keep going for 12months . . . cause he'll make enough money to Retire !" . In the vehicles defence - did complete a 2,000 klms jaunt into the outback (Perth - Kalgoorlie - Sandstone - Perth) withOUT any probs this month. Majority = red gravel roads. Go figure ?

I submitted yesterday. I am going by the dealer today to see what they say and if they do not replace it I am going to join the class action lawsuit that is out there against LRNA.
Mine is in the shop getting replaced AGAIN. I am going to have a shop put clear film on it and get rid of the truck as fast as possible. This is not realistic for what is supposed to be a daily driver.
