Default Cupholder grip collapsed again

For the second time in just over a year, one of the rubber cupholder grips has collapsed on my 24 110. The 25 changes have replaced the rubber bubbles with what looks like spring loaded plastic prongs. Has anyone checked to see if just the underneath mounted cupholder section will fit on 2020-2024? I’m not looking to replace the entire console, but would like a permanent solution as this will likely recur.

What’s going on here with yours again?

My 2020 (which has a different cupholder than 2021-2024 btw) has never had this issue. And I jam large cups in there all the time.

The little rubber nubbins get pushed in or something?

Exactly, pressed in and won’t pop back out. I’m guessing someone put in a big drink. The dealer fixed under warranty the first time, but it’s a PITA to go in for something like this. Looking for a permanent solution.

I wonder if you used a shop-vac and tried to seal off the top as best you could if it would suck it back out easily.

I’ve tried the shop vac and various kinds of duct tape, unfortunately without success.

My 2021 had this happen this morning. Pulled it back out with tape, but the rubber half bubble seems to have lost its bounce and memory (it seems like it would push in again)
