Dash cam?
I had the same wiring issue and ended up using a constant power source from the rear fuse box—it worked way better for parking mode. If you're still deciding on a camera, this article helped me pick mine: https://www.technology.org/2025/05/2...amera-in-2025/ . I found something that fits nicely behind the rearview mirror and doesn’t block the sensors.

I recently installed the camera unit (front and rear) from Fitcamx and thinks it's a fantastic solution. The front camera took about 5-10 minutes to install...that's it. They provide the correct wiring to tap into the available connectors, so powering the unit was very, very easy. Initially I didn't like the fact that there is no LCD display, but after a short acclimation I like it better than the Vanture solution in my Audi. You simply connect to the camera with your mobile device. All the recordings and settings are accessed from your mobile telephone. If there is a recording of interest, boom it's already on your mobile device! With my Vantrue/Audi, I have to remove the SD card and download it on my PC.
Plus the Fitcamx isn't terribly expensive!
