eSIM to PSIM
Hi everyone,
I’m having an issue with the SIM card on my Defender 90 (2024), and I’d really appreciate any help.
I installed a genuine SIM module (USB-A + USB-C + SIM slot). The USB ports are working perfectly, but the SIM card is not recognized in Pivi at all.
I’ve already tried the following:
• Updated CCF parameters:
• MultiCAN-468 FrontAVIOPanel
Old: Mid Line Fitted (USB with OTG only)
New: Mid Line Fitted with SIM (USB with OTG, and SIM)
• MultiCAN-812 PIVI SIM Type
Old: Machine-to-Machine eSIM
New: PSIM
• I also tested the same module on another Defender 110 (2025) which originally have PSIM and its works fine there
So the hardware seems OK, but something is missing in the configuration or software.
Has anyone managed to activate pSIM on a Defender that originally came with eSIM only?
Or knows if there are other CCF settings, modules, or wiring required?
Any help would be really appreciated 🙏

Im in Saudi Arabia and to clarify the cars I've teated the PSIM module on are from different markets.
- The car from local dealer here in Saudi comes with PSIM installed as we dont have Land Rover coverage for eSIM. ( this one have PSIM from factory )
- The other car which Im trying to get PSIM working on is imported from US market.

US imports, more than likely will not work with PSIM. Some very early units that were brought in the US, had the SIM unit / module, but not long after, the dealers had a bulletin to remove them, and use eSIM ( most got the software "upgrade" for that).
I do not know much about non US markets, but I am 99% sure that the US models, won't be reversible even with the module.

Check out DriveX, their videos always pop up and I see them switching maps and other systems from US to GCC
they recently posted a video about activating hotspot for a US car
