Extended Warranty Opinion
Hi All
I recently picked up a CPO P400 Defender X with 25k miles and Carfax clean with normal services vs others with a bunch of "engine/drivetrain module" checked
I was offered an extended warranty for an additional 2 years for 5,300.
The issues I have seen are:
Aux Radiator replacement which could be around $1k
Matrix DRL (I have a local headlight retrofit company which can repair for under $1k. or I can DIY)
Leaking Air Suspension ~$1k per shock
I'm leaning towards opting out and saving the money ($5300 Maintenance fund in my bank account). I can pay for the services when they happen and plan on keeping the car for the long term. I used to own a Nissan GTR and okay with 3k repair bills when they infrequently occurred)
Should I get this warranty or save the money?
Thank you all!

I usually avoid extended warranties and prefer to set money aside for future repairs. In January, right before my warranty was up, I bought an 8-yr/120k mile extended warranty with zero deductible that covers basically everything except for interior and exterior trim pieces for just over $4,500 from my dealer, which was a discounted rate. So far, I haven't had to use it, but will most likely get my money back down the road, as I don't plan on selling it.
Make sure to read the fine print and see exactly what is covered and what isn't, and see if there is a deductible or anything that stands out.

Three weeks ago I got a quote from my JLR dealer for an extended warranty on my 2022 110SE P400.
It would extend the factory warranty by 5 years or to 100,000 miles. This sounded great! Exact same coverage from the factory but basically the same level warranty that Kia and Hyundais come with standard.
Except the quote I got was $8000.
Sorry, not biting on that.
