Default Wildpeak RT

I am curious how they will be in snow and ice. Glad to hear they are good in rain.

I just need to see if I can find a sweet spot in tire pressures so they ride decently just running around town - highway seems fine over 50 or 60 miles an hour with the roof rack already my vehicle is not silent.

ive just done 2700 miles down to Cabo from Los Angeles. I hit some pretty big potholes that I am sure would have been a problem with some other tires. Aired down they were crazy comfortable and fantastic on the dirt roads and in the sand. However, I have 4 days left on my trial and think I am going to go to the AT3. The R/T is just not as quiet as I would like in the 40 to 50 mph range. It sounds like I have a bad bearing. @RenoDefender I think you said that the AT3s were probably quieter than the stock goodyears. Correct? Any other thoughts? I was also told that the AT3 might be better than the RT in snow and ice. Would that be correct?

yeah these are quiet enough for my wife. I think they are quiet and ride great. But what do I know

as for snow and ice. I’m up next to Tahoe and we’ve finally got a bunch of snow and I80 get get sketchy. We’ve been up to ski 4x since we got the tires and I’ve felt really confident in them. On Thursday we past 4 accidents on 80. When snow melts and it’s sub30, no bueno.

my wife primarily drives the defender and these tires make me feel better about her driving around in the snow.

my ride is a bronco and the defender isn’t any less capable on winter roads

I'm currently debating between the RT's and the AT4W's. Just curious, what did you end up doing with them? If you kept them, how have they settled in for you?

I returned the RTs and kept the AT4s. I like them a lot. I haven't had any snow driving yet but plenty of rain and such and handeld great. I am curious what @RenoDefender has found with the AT4 in his area with all the snow?

Thanks for the reply. Did you stick with the 275/55/20 or try 265/60/20's?

I stuck with the 275/55/20. I was very tempted to try the 60 but decided against. I run light load and 39 /42 and it gives a slightly better ride. If i do a loaded trip I'll add but most of the time it's me, my dog and my rock sliders
