Default GAP IID Tool driver assist memory

Hi, sorry if this has been asked but is there anyway of disabling the driver assist other than pressing the button each time the vehicle is started with the GAP 4G tool?

Anyone know if it's possible to adjust volume on the turn signal sound (since it plays through the stereo) and for that matter, reduce the door-open chime volume?

Had a crack at park assist. No dice. My suspicion is that there is some sort of hardware or software lacking. The CCf s to be changed are in many instances not supported.

I know next to nothing about this sort of stuff though.

what I would like to do is to change the tire diameter in the CCF from 32 to 32.6”.

not a big deal but would be nice to be able to

EUCD-140 Pdcautoactivationmenu

Change to: With PDC Auto Activation menu

MultiCAN-469 PDCAutoActivation
Standard: Not Supported
Change to: Default OFF configurable

MultiCAN-500 PDCBtnFCIM

MultiCAN-602 PDC
Standard: PDC not fitted
Change to: 10 Channel fitted ( Park Assist)

MultiCAN-786 Park Assist

  • Needed 2 resets to PIVI for the app to appear in PIVI and a full car shut-down to clear the "Emergency Brake Assist Unavailable" error.
I still need to try it out to see if it functions before adding it to post 1. Not sure on the process or how best to test.

Icon should also appear on main screen off to the right next to the standard park assist camera icon when you're going slow enough to attempt parking maneuver. When it appears, press the icon and available spaces will appear as you're driving through the parking lot or down the street. Then apply brake and select a space. Then let go of brake and the maneuver will start. It takes some courage It should work for both perpendicular and parallel spots.

Thanks. I'll look for that. Didn't spot it last night after install. Although I wasn't driving by parking spaces and it was dark. Hopefully I can see it in action soon. Car is in the dealer now getting its Defender wink eliminated.

@GavinC Keep us posted on what happens. I suspect that you will see the parking screen, select the spot, and the "start" button will be greyed out and you won't be able to execute the command.

If you are able to execute the start command let us know if your Defender is a North America build or not, and what year your Defender is.

It's very rare that an NA vehicle can be adapted to self park. There is a module that can't be written to that needs that last flash to happen for the start function to work.

Guys if you want self parking I need vins to compare it to. So please post your vin and I will do a ccf comparison to try out settings, but if I don’t have vins I can’t experiment on my defender to get to work.

Also self parking might be written in the bcm and maybe Patrick at gap will offer that? Idk and don’t want to speak for him….but currently our gap tools don’t offer that.

I will keep you posted. No worries. I'm in the states.

I wonder is there anything in the ECU flash function of the G4 tool. I've not dabbled in that area. I stay in the shallow end when it comes to this stuff.
