Default Heated Steering Wheel

Heated steering wheel stopped working, light goes on and stays on, doesn’t go out like some of the other posts. Has anyone managed to fix theirs without installing a new wheel?

When the steering wheel reaches a certain temp, the heat output is reduced to prevent overheating. If yours does not do anything, there may be something wrong with the heating element. I would have the dealer check it especially if your car is still under warranty. Also, whenever the temperature is above 60 to 70 F, the heat output is limited. Try it in cold weather and if nothing happens, take it to the dealer.

Also if you have drive mode set to Eco mode it will turn off the heated steering wheel.
