Just picked up a Trek!

Land Rover in Huntsville, AL wanted $135,000 for theirs, and they don't even have it. As of 12-24-2020, it was in Colorado with the owner. They had it listed on Autotrader for $85,000 but if you call, then tell you about the adjustment. I just added them to the list of dealers not work with unless dire. I bought #33 from St. Louis. They were very easy to deal with.

Outside of a promotional event, the car looks ridiculous with all the badging, at least to my eye.
At least it's rolling on 18"s. 20"s are just so dumb and stupid looking on Defenders. My own included. It's the one thing I thoroughly dislike about the vehicle.
I think the Trek is a cool demo of what the Defender can be. It's a pity the Trophy from JLR couldn't have been more like that instead of a wrapped Chelsea tractor. Miss me with the badging and all that orange malarkey. A diesel would have been a nice bonus too. I'd pay for that.
All the added kit is great. I'd love every bit of it. (minus the waterPax)
A diesel version with all the same kit, a 2" lift, 35" tyres on 18"s and a less "look-at-my-truck-***** palette" would be more my jam.

I think you're dead right. They're more of a marketing gimmick really. The only folks who want them are likely trying to flog some LR related product. Dealers and after market folks. Driving about in your daily with two spares and a rotopax of water (in the USA) speaks volumes about the person in the driving seat.

7 seats immediately eliminated the p300 and 18" option. Bumps up the trim to SE.
For towing i also needed p400. Again 18" not an option. So daft but that's the way the build process is.

Got it. I forgot that was an issue. I went the P300 route because I have speed thrills with my other car. Also, I didn't even consider a P400 build because of the big bump in price. Thanks for clarifying.

Another TREK ‘22
Hi all!
Our 3rd JLR product. I traded my 2020 iPace, which I was sad to let go as I loved the simplicity, thrust, and mentally freeing drive of the Jag; truly an animal.
Main Line Land Rover in Wayne, PA had my Defender for over 1 year, originally with the wrap which reminded my of the G4 and made me drool. They removed the wrap and dropped the price to just below MSRP. Encouraged by another Defender driver at REI (who had the P300 too), I went to drive it and fell in love. The P300 and the ZF 8 speed are paired VERY well and more enjoyable to drive than a HST RRS (more responsive too). Needless to say, we purchased it!
Did anyone else get more than 6 wheels and tires? (4 on the car and 2 spares)
I see YouTubers posting Treks with additional wheels and tires. By the way - I love the steel 18s provides additional ride comfort too!
