That would be nice but no. The only way you'll know what ship it's on is by pestering your salesman daily after the build date. In rare occasions people have reported that their salesman says they can't access that information, which is a lie. Once you have the name of the ship though, MarineTraffic or Vesselfinder are the best places to track it. You have to pay to know where it is over the Atlantic (after watching it in European waters) otherwise you need to wait till it's within sight of US shores. You'll then need to pester your salesman daily to know when it got on a truck, the ETA and whether it arrived.

 

I checked with my dealer and seems all 2023 should deliver between march and may, will late at least 1 week to 3 weeks.

Mine will late 8 days, which I’m still in good mood 🥹

Is there any definitive information on MY changeover date, remaining MY 23.5 releases? My dealer is waiting for a P300 allocation for my build. Just wondering what the odds are that there will be any more P300 released before MY 24. Does anyone KNOW anything?

 

I don't think there is anything official yet. I happened to walk into my JLR dealer February 22nd, ordered a 23.5 D90S and walked away with "Last Ammendment" and build dates, now moved up to 3/6 and build 4/12. I expected to be waiting up to 9 months, but apparently with a little luck (and lack of shipping delays) I should be driving it early. June.

 

Was that with the 6 cyl engine?

From what my dealer is telling me I could get a 6cyl allocation right now. It seems like the 4 cyl is not planned anytime soon. I'm wondering if it is done for year.

Yes, "S" model is the "P300" 4 cyl.

I was told almost exactly the same by the salesman upon arrival, but 90 minutes, less $2k deposit, I walked away with my dates and as noted, they moved in my favor 3 weeks and a day. As noted, truly was expecting 7 to 9 months, and we discussed the fact that that far out, it likely would be an MY24.

 

I have a P300 '4-cyl' on order. Planned delivery date is July 2023 as a MY23.5 and is still on schedule for a Mid-May build date and July delivery as per my dealer this morning.

 

If it helps any, last year when I ordered the June 1st seemed to be the cut over to MY 23.5 from 23. That's when everything changed. So if your order is accepted prior to that/build date assigned it might be 23.5 still, but if it's not accepted until post June 1, if they do what they did last year it changes then.
