out of curiosity, is does the "comfort and convenience pack" have any worth?

This is interesting simply because changing interior lighting color is all the rage.

Premium cabin lighting gives you 10 configurable options so you can match your surroundings to your mood, personality, or driving style.
Is it available outside the package? What does the lighting look like with and without? anyone seen pics or comparison?

More importantly, package includes a cover over the cup holders in the center console..That did it for me..!

Default New Defender Spec

I have 31K on October 2020 S model with P300. I did similar to your first specification. Bought S to get 4 cylinder. Added all the safety tech I could at time which has been nice for helping with daily use and backing up from parking spaces. Added Windsor seats to get nice leather that holds up well and has lots of adjustments plus heated and cooled. Wood accents.-5 seater-Winter package with heated windshield and steering. Auto adjusting steering wheel. (if you leave **** turned past the click when you stop seat lowers and backs away from wheel- really handy) No skylight-white roof with Pangea green. Tow package- Pirelli Scorpion Zero All Season -Digital drivers screen which I agonized over too much- it’s great -and the 10 inch Pivi

‘My experience has been hunting trips to North Dakota in some mountain snow, driving rain and dry roads. One around the country trip across to Dakotas, down to Georgia across to Southwest and then Back to Northwest. Mostly around town and the occasional 90 miles down to Seattle area when not on road trip.

What I wish I could have added at the time. Big tow hoops on back fender- I have to do it myself think you can order now- yes looks cool but is practical when you need it. Air compressor- thinking about it now it didn’t take much space in back and would have been handy hunting if I wanted to let some air out and then add back. Did I suffer without it -absolutely not. Didn’t know I could get a second locking diff but without it it really isn’t an issue unless extreme off-road. Then really I should put on 18 steel wheels with proper off-road tire.

Thoughts- this is a fantastic road vehicle - with Pirelli’s very quiet comfortable as I ordered 19 inch. The bigger sidewall helps here and I don’t have to worry about curbing wheels and it is slightly better in my “light off-roading”. The pirellis have been ok in slush and snow on interstates but I need the Landrover tech as snow gets deeper. Dry road and wet road performance has been great. Wanted the cooler look of off road wheels but reality is that this is old guys station wagon and I hate road noise at speed. It still handles well and has plenty of power even loaded with P300. I tow only light trailers with small boat but wouldn’t hesitate for small runabout or up to the 5500 limit. My total milage average all uses is 21.5. Under 64mph I am 22-25 mpg- at 80ish in Montana it’s 18-19 depending on headwind loaded for hunting. Over the air updates fixed early nits with some software and I really like how they eventually sorted things out. 255/65 R19 is an odd size apparently so not many choices yet- can’t really complain about Pirellis- they were on track for about 40k until it hit something and ruined one tire -at 31 K I had to do all four so I just put Pirellis back on. Tire reviews are maddening but I did t have much of a choice to change. If I didn’t care about noise I would have gone with Goodyear All Terrain Adventure (who comes up with tire names) They look better and I have had good luck with them on trucks.

Have fun buying- I really enjoy getting in my Defender and driving about on daily basis

I got the x-dynamic SE trim level and I'm happy with that.
Options that I like:
- offroad package with air suspension, for when I need it
- offroad tires - they do not have excessive noise
- towing package - I use it for trailering
- clearsight mirror - helps when back is loaded up, also the spare tire is blocking visibility
- V6 engine which provides good power for towing and acceleration
- larger display screen
- rubber mats all around
options I wish had
- automatic cruise control
options I have that I could take or leave
- sunroof
- rear section cage
- portable water container
options I have that I don't like
- roof rack - too much noise so I took it off
options I'm glad I don't have
- 3rd row seat - I like the extra storage space plus I like being able to lay the 2nd row seats flat
- side ladder or snorkel - they probably add noise and they don't look good in my opinion

I just finished building out and ordering a 2023.5 defender and I was not able to opt in to options such as clearsight camera, 11.4 inch screen. How were you able to get them?

Mine was a late 2022 model - last of the ones where these were available.

+2

I haven't had the need to use ice scraper anymore because of the heated windscreen which takes only a few minutes to complete defrost the ice.

After a full day of skiing, nothing beats having heated seats and heated steering wheel when you leave the mountain.

Still slowly moving through the ordering process...

Anyone have a current build sheet before my build gets locked? Every time I order a car, i experience anxiety right before its locked... I suffer from FOMO, Fear of Missing Options.
