This just happened to me as well - what a cruel trick. I was running errands and the software update box popped up and I was very excited, until I saw it was just for 3.3.3.

If it's any consolation, I got 3.3.3 last week, and then 4.0.0 showed up maybe three or four days later.

Woo hoo!! 3.3.3 just arrived today. But it stopped because the battery wasn't full enough. Doah..... I'll add the CTEK tonight and hope for another upgrade soon.

I had the same issue. I downloaded, but would not update due to battery charge levels. Go for a 15 minute drive and then come back and manually start the update through the Software Updates page in settings.

Pulled into the garage 10 minutes ago and got the install message. Jumping from 3.3.2 to 4.0.0. Stated it needs 35 mins to install. I think that’s about right for a nap!

Did anyone with a V8 confirm or disprove the rumor that the engine sounds less aggressive in dynamic mode post-update ?

Well I have a V8 and got the 4.0.0 update a week ago. To be honest I noticed no difference in sound but admittedly I have not pushed it hard on the open road lately.

Loaded! The only thing I noticed is the reverse lines which I'm not sure I'll get a lot of utility out of. I did read that I need to register my InControl to my profile so I went thru that pita process again. Now to see how long until the 4.0 update. Clock is ticking.

I didn't know I was such a lucky boy - got the 4.0 updates a couple days ago. Loving the google maps on the dash now!

My wife’s defender finally got the upgrade notice but it only went up to 3.3.3. Now to wait for the next one.
