P400 Mileage
I'm curious what gas mileage everyone is getting with the P400. I was actually excited when ordering the car because the EPA rating was 3 MPG better than the 5.0 in my LR4, but after 1000 miles (still early) I'm getting 2MPG worse that the LR4. Ours is driven mostly in the city, and on road trips is often pulling a 5000lb trailer. The LR4 sticker showed 14MPG combined and we achieved about 13, the Defender was rated at 17 combined and we're just shy of 11 (US Gallons obviously)
Mileage should be equal/superior to an LR4/Discovery 4 once broken in (and assuming your tires are properly inflated, ride height is normal and you have no exterior accessories grabbing air).
That said, none of our cars will achieve optimal mileage numbers unless you're using ethanol free petrol. Fuel with high ethanol composition has a lower energy content.
That makes sense (lower mpg due to ethanol). It just has never been top of mind. In the US market, it's easier to get jet fuel than it is to get petrol w/o ethanol. Almost EVERY dealer has it standard and there aren't any options without it. Not whining, just throwing out the data point. Perhaps it is a state by state thing, but I can't recall a state where non-ethanol fuel was readily available.
Anyone know what the mpg hit is for ethanol added? I know there's a TON of "what-ifs" but general guesses pulled out of dark orifices will work if you are reasonably informed.

For the inControl app and Pivi login, make sure you've signed in on a PC or Mac first. Once you're all set there on your PC, the login to the App on your phone and the Incontrol in Pivi should be straight forward.
At least, that's what I had to do, and all was well.
To keep on Topic. My mileage is about 18mpg. US Premium ethanol containing gas. Mixed highway, city, mountains and offroad. 10000 miles in. Not too shabby considering I almost always have the roof rack and ladder and stuff on it..

To echo GavinC’s comments, my initial problems stemmed from attempting to set up my account on my iPad. After numerous failed attempts, I was informed by the ‘tech concierge’ that it was only possible on a Mac or PC. For some reason the setup cannot be completed on a mobile device. The concierge went so far as to use her PC, with my input, to create an account, username, password and get me up and running. If you follow all the instructions, as GavinC indicated, you will be successful and enjoy all the features the app provides. Good luck, all.
Even a broken clock is right every so often

At least I don’t feel like an idiot for not succeeding with the install.
But I don’t think I’m going to install it after all. I did get to the part of the Terms & Conditions that has a box you must check essentially saying JLR has full rights to tracking your location at all times and making use of that information for their own purposes in any way they damn-well please, using more obscure language than that of course. I don’t like that, and since I don’t really care about the app I’m going to make at least some philosophical stake in the ground with this and tell them to go **** themselves.
Oh, just go ahead and "screw with them", @NoGaBiker . Almost every company is dealing with the maddening rules of GDPR and various state versions of it. Send JLR-USA an e-mail requesting that they get rid of all personal identifying information, location information or tracking information. If they are like every other company, they don't have an elegant way to handle it. So a bunch of IT wonks, data nerds, and customer service folks will pull out their hair trying to manually or (my favorite) hack ways to get rid of it through their many different systems that don't have one source of record. Then you are also on record for the request. They are large enough that they will have done it and will do it, but no one involved will like it. But, for a reality check: I already operate under the presumption that so many companies have been hacked that China, Russia and so many illegal organizations already know every data point about me anyway.
No matter how many boxes you check or forms you sign, they all have an out saying they will delete data. They just don't want to and after you check/sign, send them the request. They will NEVER tie it back to removing access to systems. If they do, that will be a first in my experience.

Oh fer cryin’ out loud. Can’t set it up on the device you’re going to use it on.

Switch it out for your Top of The World one and you'll be all set.
