^^ LOL, are some people still accusing others of tinfoil hat wearing for being wary of corporate abuse of collected personal data?

It’s not exactly a far-out and unprecedented supposition. Especially the idea of not volunteering for data-collection experiments in exchange for something I don’t even particularly want in the first place. I can figure my gas mileage fine without it, or I could if I gave a rat’s *** about my mileage.

I've no idea mate. I'm not savvy enough to understand any of it. I'm just jealous of your Jeep hat.

My Aussie Akubra hat shrank in the wash. A victim to "big washer."

I am struggling to get 15mpg lately… so I am contemplating taking off the roof rack, ladder, and box. I am also thinking about swapping out my 275/55/20 RidgeGrapplers for lighter tires… 😫

My D110 P400 dashboard shows 20mpg avg. My driving is mostly country roads with some highways speeds. I’m always in S (semi-manual) cause I miss my 6speed and need something to do😜. One advantage I found was that since S always starts you off in 2nd gear, the auto start/stop engagement feels smoother.

Gas is 91 w/ 10%ethanol.

19” wheels OEM wranglers but I’m slick otherwise…ie no rack, lunch box, ladder, winch, or snorkel.

I did however just install front/rear classic Mudflaps today😂

20 is impressive. You got a good one !

Somewhat tongue in cheek but true for me answer: I laugh about this Defender which I thought would get great mileage (6 cylinder!!!) -- but I seem to get the exact same MPG I've gotten on every last Rover I've owned from RRC to D2's to LR3/V8 LR4, V8 SC RRS's, V8 NA and SC L320's, and now the I6 Defender. 15mpg. It's always 15mpg. No matter how much aluminum-titanium-lightweight-ium JLR puts on them or my "hammer down" driving style eases up as I age rather ungracefully, I see no improvement in mpg.

15 mpg on L663 is with Expedition Rack and 33" KO2's btw.

I track everything in the Road Trip app (feel like it’s a more realistic read on MPG.
I drive hard in the city. Cruise at 80 on the highway;
car is loaded with FR roofrack; lucky 8 sliders and ladder; tow package; under shield. 18’s Dakar Evocourse Rims with K02s. So she heavy too.
Socal based. 25,000 miles P300.

11-13 in city 15-18 highway (15 when driving north / up in elevation; 18 when driving south / down in elevation)

Adding 23 P300 data point for anyone looking for it. 5300 miles with expedition rack averaging 18-19mpg around town which incidentally is the max I can get on the highway at 70-75 mph now. I was getting 20mpg+ on the highway without the rack but it's definitely gone down with the rack.

22 P300 with rack, snorkel, ladder. 18.7mpg average across 5400 miles (I have tracked every gas fill up and mileage since new on Fuelly). Best mpg was 21.1 on a long road trip using eco mode.

But I can't think of a moment I've ever seen 16 or 17 when I get in. And never less.

Crap I was pissed when I was struggling to get to 20 in my Wrangler earlier this week (loaded down and headed for the OBX).

So you guys who have posted even lower mileage have given me another reason to love my wife.... Thanks.

But whatever the f you do, DON'T TELL HER...

Thanks in advance,

Kev
Since this thread has come back I'll update this post.

Recently added the OEM crossbars and big Yakima Fat Cat ski racks.

Took about a 1 mpg hit to our average overall, though mostly at highway more than around town.

High speed, winter formulated fuel, racks full actually saw 16 for a while on the turnpike the other day, but that improved to almost 18 by the end of the day.

I've definitely noticed a drop in my mileage with winter fuel. It's slowly dipped about 1/2 MPG with otherwise similar driving, and I turn off auto start-stop, so the engine running more to heat the vehicle isn't the cause.
